President of the Management Board of JSW S.A. since 19 March 2007 Prior to his appointment to the current position, he had been working for the Company as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and prior to that, from 30 June 2003, as member of the Supervisory Board. Nearly from the very beginning of his professional career, i.e. since 1997, he worked at the Ministry of Economy – inter alia at the position of advisor to the Undersecretary of State on mining, power sector, gas industry, liquid fuels and metallurgy, and advisor on initiation and implementation of the state industrial policy in metallurgy, coking industry, energy and non-energy mineral mining, and state energy policy matters. In 2002-2003, as the deputy director of the Industry Restructuring Department at the Ministry of Economy, he was responsible for the black coal mining sector and non-energy minerals; from 2003 he was the Minister’s Counsel at the Energy Security Department of the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Social Policy. He is a graduate of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, where he obtained a degree from two faculties: mechanics and construction of machinery at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty and marketing and management at the Organization and Management Faculty. In 2004, he completed his PhD studies at the Mining Faculty of the Mining and Metallurgical Academy in Kraków. Deputy Chairman of Central Europe Energy Partners. Deputy President of Poland’s biggest and oldest employer organization – Pracodawcy RP. Member of the Coal Industry Advisory Board. Winner of numerous awards and titles, among others:

Vice-President of the Management Board for Sales since 5 June 2007 A metallurgist and an economist by education. First he graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and then he went on to study economic IT in Germany and European management at the Poznań University of Economics. After completing his studies in management (based on the curriculum of the MBA course offered by the Warsaw School of Economics), in 2005 he earned his Ph.D. in an inter-faculty doctoral program of the Kraków University of Economics, having successfully defended his dissertation in the economics of international coke and coal markets. Before joining JSW, he worked for Polski Koks from 1997 to 2007. That is where he gained his extensive experience in trading coke and coal in international markets. Earlier, he spent three years in Solingen, Germany, where he was employed as a project manager in a promotion agency serving the world’s largest corporations. He is the author of a number of publications on the international market for coking coal and coke and on the position of Poland as an exporter of coke. |

Vice-President of the Management Board for Technical Matters since 18 August 2000 Earned a Ph.D. in technical sciences from the Mining Faculty of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, having defended his doctoral dissertation on methane hazard in gallery mining pits (with honors). With JSW S.A. for over 12 years, initially as Vice-President for Production and since 2011 as Vice-President for Technical Matters. Associated with the mining industry since the beginning of his professional career. Worked in the Siemianowice Coal Mine in mining supervision and management, starting from the position of overman and ending in the position of chief engineer. In 1993-2000 worked in Rudzka Spółka Węglowa as Chief Engineer of the Siemianowice Coal Mine, then as Director of the Mine and eventually as Vice-President of the Management Board and Director of the Restructuring Department. Authored over 60 publications (including 3 books) on natural hazards and restructuring issues in the mining industry. Winner of a First Degree Award in the National Competition for the Improvement of Working Conditions for his contribution to a study on central air conditioning in the Pniówek Coal Mine and a Third Degree Award in the National Competition for the Improvement of Working Conditions for his contribution to a study on group air conditioning in the Zofiówka Coal Mine.. Recipient of numerous awards, including the award of the Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the Personality category of the Mining Success 2010 contest. |
