The Przyjaźń Coking Plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza is resuming production. After the accident on 22 September, two alternative battery coal charging points were built at the plant, allowing the remaining coal transport line equipment to be put into operation. The organizational system of coal tower charging at the coking plant was also changed. As a result, the plant is returning to its pre-incident production capacities allowing it to fully meet its contractual obligations. Test results indicate that the coke currently being produced satisfies contractual quality parameters.
Ensuring regular coal deliveries to the coke oven batteries was the most important task for maintaining the plant's continuous operation. The Przyjaźń Coking Plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza belongs to JSW KOKS S.A., a JSW Group company.
Let's recall that the incident at the coal grinding plant at the Dąbrowa coking plant occurred on 22 September this year. As a result of an explosion, one coking plant worker died, and four people are still in hospital.
