All miners with their families are invited to participate in the Solemn Mass on November 27, 2016 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój at 1 Maja Street, parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 1 p.m. The Mass for miners will be celebrated by Archbishop Wiktor Skworc, Metropolitan of Katowice.
Exceptional „Barbórka” mass
Miner profession, like no other, is rooted in traditions cultivated over the centuries. In everyday customs and traditions, as the miner’s greeting – „szczęść Boże”, as in the celebrations of the miner’s day – “Barbórka”, mining traditions have been established in the life of JSW mines and the local people.
