Generous staff from Borynia-Zofiówka mine and the Board of JSW

On the 15th anniversary of its existence, the Mining Families Foundation has granted awards to their most generous donors. The crew of Borynia-Zofiówka mine received honorable second place among all the Silesian mines, and employees of the Board of JSW took first place in the competition of professional solidarity.

Czeslaw Kubaczka, director of KWK Borynia-Zofiówka and Boguslaw Michalczyk, director for work from Zofiówka Borynia also entered the  group of  "Documented Foundation Friends”.  Among Donors of the Year 2012 in the group of non-mining companies were owned by JSW Group - Jastrzębskie  Zakłady Remontowe and Koksownia  Przyjaźń.

Yesterday, December 16 Mining Families Foundation celebrated the 15th anniversary of its operations for the mining community - orphans, widows and families of mining in a difficult situation. Jerzy Markowski, now Honorary President of the Foundation, and the years before Deputy responsible for mining and the initiator of the undertaking, stressed that the strength of the Mining Families Foundation  business is that it acts beyond boundaries. The idea of ​​its establishment has been supported by President Lech Walesa,  President Aleksander Kwasniewski helped to realize it, and its operations enjoyed the support of the presidential couple Maria and Lech Kaczynski.

The anniversary was attended by Minister of Labour and Social Policy Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, Tomasz Tomczykiewicz, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Piotr Litwa, President of the State Mining Authority.

Among occasional letters and congratulations to the Foundation were wishes from former President Aleksander Kwasniewski,  the Office of the President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski and also from the Head of the Foundation  “Porozumienie bez granic” Jolanta Kwaśniewska.
