Good performance of our rescuers

Last Friday during IX International Mine Rescue Competition in Poland the two first and one second places were taken by rescue workers from Borynia Site. 21 teams from 13 countries took part in the competition.

The efficiency of rescue was evaluated in five events: a simulated rescue, skills of rescue equipment mechanics and mechanics of measuring equipment,  first aid and knowledge test. Each field  was scored separately.

Representatives of JSW were unrivaled in the competition " premedical aid ". In the individual category "apparatus mechanic", Miroslaw Dłucik took the first place showing  the greatest knowledge of type W - 70  apparatus. In the next category mechanic technician JSW team had to acknowledge the superiority of the Turkish team taking second place.

  • "Simulated Rescue":

  • "Premedical Help":

  • "Mechanic Technician":
  1. Turkey,
  2. JSW SA KWK Borynia-Zofiówka-Jastrzębie,
  3. KW SA KWK Bobrek – Centrum.
  • Category "apparatus mechanic" (rescuers can choose a one of the three devices, which are employed in  real actions, or where used when preparing for the competition).

BG-4 Plus Apparatus:

  1. Tauron Wydobycie - Piotr Wojtyła,
  2. KW SA KWK Bobrek - Centrum - Marek Kosina,
  3. KGHM Polska Miedź S.A - Piotr Cukrowski.

 W-70 Apparatus :

  1. JSW SA KWK Borynia-Zofiówka-Jastrzębie - Mirosław Dłucik,
  2. Tauron Wydobycie SA - Piotr Wojtyła,
  3. KHW SA KWK Mysłowice - Wesoła w Mysłowicach - Piotr Musioł.

 P-30Ex Apparatus :

  1. Tauron Wydobycie SA - Zbigniew Palkij,
  2. Kazachstan - Igor Yakutin,
  3. Mongolia - Purevsuren Daucha.
  • "Knowledge Test":  11 teams solved the task in 100 percent. (20 correct answers). Representatives of Slovakia, India, Kazakhstan, Canada (Sudbury Basin Cobres), Australia (two teams) and Poland (KW SA, TAURON Wydobycie SA, JSW SA, KGHM Polska  Miedź SA) and Vietnam solved the test right on target.

 

For the first time this international competition was attended by rescue workers from Romania, Colombia and Vietnam. Poland was represented by four coal mine teams of and one of the copper mine : JSW SA, Katowice Coal Holding SA Coal Company SA, Tauron - Wydobycie SA and KGHM  Polska Miedź SA. Closing ceremony of the competition was held in Wilson Shaft Gallery in Katowice.
