The Polish Economy Pillars are a ranking developed by Puls Biznesu and the TNS Pentor survey company. The winners are selected by local governments of each province. The awards are presented to companies who are important employers, supporters and promoters of employment, who enable enterprise development, and involve themselves in actions meant to boost the growth of local communities.
Puls Biznesu stresses that it seeks to “award dynamism, as well as ties to local communities.” It believes that is where the strength of Polish economy lies: “in a flawless combination of entrepreneurship with autonomy.”
The substantiation for the award underlines the fact that local authorities, as bodies of government which are the closest to both the local businesses and the community, are best equipped to vote on choosing the winners of this contest.
