“We are positively surprised with the companies’ great commitment during our meetings, and with the fact that almost all audited companies managed to meet the immensely high standards,” said Irena Pichola, the representative of PwC.She also underlined that the project was a strong impulse for many companies to implement further elements of corporate social responsibility.“After talks with the companies’ employees, it is evident that the rules are being implemented,” noticed Irena Pichola.
“The Coalition for Corporate Social Responsibility” was born as an initiative of the Employers of Poland organisation and the biggest Polish companies. The project is conducted within the framework of the Human Capital Operational Programme. Its main objective is to help the entrepreneurs implement the rules of corporate social responsibility. It is achieved through popularisation and development of the CR (corporate responsibility) tools and standards. The major elementsof the project are preparing a Corporate Social Responsibility Code as a set of rules with which all corporate responsible companies should comply, and creating a Text Book which would contain practical tips for implementing the CR strategy in the companies (since 8 June, the electronic publication will be available to download for free at: www.koalicjacr.pl).
