JSW among the highest-priced world’s companies
Eleven Polish companies were listed in the latest „Financial Times” report on the highest – priced European enterprises. Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa was positioned among the first five hundred of them – appraised $3,6 bn. The most valuable Polish companies presented in the ranking were: KGHM worth $9 bn, PKO BP Bank worth nearly $13,5 bn, Bank Pekao S.A. worth over $13 bn, BRE Bank ($3,8 bn), ING ($3,6 bn) ranked by “Financial Times” for the first time and also Telekomunikacja Polska (over $7bn), Polska Grupa Energetyczna ($11 bn), PZU (nearly $9 bn), PGNiG ($ 7,5 bn) and finally PKN Orlen ($5 bn) – has fallen in the rank by 82 positions.
In the 500 highest-priced world’s companies Apple – the American enterprise - took the first place and moved up from the third position. Exchange appraisal of this company - $559 bn. The only Polish company to fall out of first 500 is Bank PKO BP.
“Financial Times” collated the companies to their market valuation. The magazine multiplied the number of shares by their market price from March 30th 2012. Investment firms were not taken into account. The outcome was converted into dollars.
