The JSW Foundation allocated nearly PLN 50 thousand for the “Clean air for kindergartens in the region – purchase of air purifiers”.
– This campaign is exceptionally valuable and necessary, especially during the current pandemic. In Silesia, during the heating season, the air quality is not the best and the machines help to make a difference for the health of our youngest children. In addition, we have had a lot of signals in this matter from parents and teachers - said Beata Tomanek, director of the “Złoty Dzwoneczek” kindergarten in Mszana.
The headmasters, teachers and local authorities gathered at the event emphasized that JSW Foundation’s camping is another project that addresses the needs of the local communities.
– The health of our children is of fundamental importance. We are a company that operates in the Silesian soil and it is important for us to make sure that our youngest citizens have positive associations with us, said Artur Dyczko, President of the JSW Foundation. – Today, we donated air purification machines, but we are always there to hear what school staff tell us. Consequently, we invest in the equipment of school labs or kindergarten playgrounds. This is our investment in the future - added the President of the JSW Foundation.
Today’s air purifier hand-over ceremony is not the end of JSW Foundation’s campaign. The Foundation has announced a competition for children from public nurseries and kindergartens which have already received the purifiers. The contest is for the best work illustrating how the machine work in their schools. Works can be submitted in any medium or artistic form. The award will be 20 more air purifiers.
