As part of its cooperation with the Katowice university, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa will organize internships for students according to their needs.
- These are internships that students must complete during their education. Our university is looking for the best of the best, and thanks to the willingness of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa to cooperate with us, we are convinced that here students will be able to prepare excellently for their future profession - said Dr. Alexander Ostenda, rector of the University of Technology in Katowice.
First of all, this applies to students who study computer science and mechatronics. In addition, during their internships they will be able to find topics and collect materials for their dissertations. The internships can start as of 1 October.
- The opportunities for students to leverage our technical areas will be unlimited. I am confident that in the future our company, as their employer, will be able to benefit from their substantive and practical knowledge. This is the direction we intend to pursue in order to prevent the so-called generation gap - emphasized Tomasz Cudny, President of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.
Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy, added that the signing of the letter of intent will benefit both parties.
- We are pleased that this agreement will enable students to develop and provide us with qualified workers in the future - said Wojtków.
This is the first such initiative regarding cooperation with the Katowice University of Technology. It is worth noting that as of 1 October, the University of Technology changes its name to the Silesian Academy.
