Memory of the rescuers who lost their lives commemorated

In Krupiński Mine Rescue Station of the Coal Mine in Suszec memorial tablet has been unveiled in honor of the rescuers, Piotr Kędzior and Eugeniusz Gąska who died in the rescue, bringing aid to victims of fire in Krupiński mine in May 2011.

The families of those who died, the rescued miners,  JSW representatives, the Central Mine Rescue Station in Bytom, Regional Mine Rescue Station in Wodzisław Śląski, Krupiński coal mine management as well as parish priests from Rudziczka and Suszec and invited guests participated in the ceremony.

After greeting the guests and speech of the managing director of the mine Marian Kurpas, the floor was taken by ventilation manager Andrew Kozyra , the JSW Vice President Andrzej Tor and also by CSRG in Bytom vice-president Mirosław Bagiński. Unveiling of a tablet was done by ​​Krupiński mine director, Marian Kurpas, along with the Deputy President of the CSRG, Miroslaw Baginski. After the ceremonial unveiling of a commemorative tablet it was consecrated along with the statue of St. Barbara which the Mine Rescue Station received from the parson of the parish in Rudziczka. The Memorial tablet and the statue of St. Barbara are located in the KSRG apparatus room.

After the ceremony of unveiling a plaque in the St. Stanisław - Bishop and Martyr church in Suszec the mass was held for the victims of the fire:  rescuers - Piotr Kędzior and Eugeniusz Gąska, and the miner, Arkadiusz Pokrywiński.
