On 16 April 2012, Paweł Sadza, Governor of Pszczyna County, signed an agreement with Jarosław Zagórowski, President of JSW, and Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of JSW, regarding cooperation and education of students attending the secondary technical school who are trained in mechatronics. The agreement provides for making it possible for the students of the school to participate in internships at JSW. The agreement also reads that the best graduates can reckon on actual employment.
It's not the first time that Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa signs an agreement regarding education of mining school students, giving them an opportunity to find a job in the Company at a later time. Similar agreements have already been concluded with the city of Jastrzębie-Zdrój and the municipalities of Pawłowice and Ornontowice.
“The Company invests in increasingly sophisticated machines and equipment which require specialist knowledge”, said Jarosław Zagórowski, President of JSW, during a ceremony marking the conclusion of the agreement. “That is why we were so glad to hear the Governor’s proposal. The agreement is beneficial for both sides. On the one hand, the Company will acquire great specialists, and on the other hand, the graduates of the school will have a chance of getting a job.”
