The agreement was concluded with the Administration of the Upper-Secondary School Complex in Ornontowice and concerns the organization of practical vocational training and employment of the 1st Degree Industrial School (an equivalent of a vocational school) graduates in JSW.
The signed agreement applies to students who begin their education from the school year 2019/2020 in the profession of automatic control engineer and from the school year 2020/2021 in the profession of steel fixer.
Such an agreement was signed by the parties for the second time. The earlier agreement concerned students of mining classes who began their education from the school year 2017/2018 in the technical school and in the 1st Degree Industrial School.
At the technical school level, it applies to automation technicians, electrical technicians, underground mining technicians, while at the 1st Degree Industrial School – to electricians and underground miners. Only those graduates who pass the relevant tests, confirming their qualifications for the profession will get the chance of employment. Depending on its staffing needs, JSW will also employ graduates of other mining professions and specializations.
“Our Company attaches great importance to having properly prepared employees. The signed agreement is a signal to young people that we are a stable company that needs well-educated employees.”, said Artur Wojtków, JSW Vice-President for Employment and Social Policy just after signing the agreement.
The vocational training is supposed to be held in the Budryk mine in Ornontowice, with which the school has been cooperating for many years now. The agreement was signed by Artur Wojtków, JSW Vice-President for Employment and Social Policy, and Teresa Stasik-Szyszka, Principal of the Upper-Secondary School Complex in Ornontowice.
