The investment is a result of provisions of a research and development programme entitled “Clean air for Silesia” (Czyste powietrze dla Śląska). The participants are: Polski Koks S.A., Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A., the Silesian University of Technology, the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal and the Klaster Kotlarski Association. The objective of the programme is to merge the scientific and technical potentials of the parties to the agreement, in order to implement research, development and technology tasks with regard to ecological burning of products of the coal and coke JSW Group. The Composite Solid Fuels Production Site will be erected on the territory of the Krupiński mine in Suszec. The works are scheduled to be finished in the second half of 2013. The site will produce solid fuels on the basis of the flotation concentrate dedicated for municipal services and individual heating. The capacity of the site is to reach 60 thousand tonnes each year. Polski Koks S.A. submitted an application to the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management for granting a loan for funding the investment task in question. The whole investment is worth almost 20 million zlotys.
New Ecological Fuel JSW
On Friday 27 April in Katowice, an agreement on execution of the investment project: Construction of a Composite Solid Fuels Production Site was signed between Polski Koks S.A. (company owned by Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa) and Przedsiebiorstwo Kompletacji i Montażu Systemów Automatyki CARBOAUTOMATYKA S.A.
