The visit to the coking plant, located in Dąbrowa Górnicza, began with a short presentation of the JSW Group. Daniel Ozon, President of the Company’s Management Board, spoke about Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa as a contemporary company focused on innovative technologies and striving for development. - We have very ambitious plans and we are not afraid to talk about them. Hydrogen, for example, may become an emission-free fuel for modern transport in the future. We also want to get involved in the production of carbon fibers. This is a major step towards innovation and proof that Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa has immense potential – said Daniel Ozon, President of the Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa Management Board, who also mentioned Lech Kaczyński’s visit to the Przyjaźń Coking Plant in 2005. – Professor Lech Kaczyński said that strong industry, which gives jobs to millions of Poles, is the essence of Poland. During a meeting with journalists, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said: - I am very happy that another coke oven battery is being built here in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie. This is in line with the plan for the Silesian Voivodship. Now there is battery no. 4, then there will be battery no. 3 and other investments. Modern economy is based on steel production. Investments such as those in this coking plant are important for modern industry. This is where we show that the plan for the Silesian Voivodship has been partially implemented as promised. This is an important matter that will allow us to maintain employment through new investments. Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa intends to increase its coking coal production, but it will also use hydrogen derived from coke oven gas to power hydrogen buses, which was commanded by the Prime Minister during his visit to Dąbrowa Górnicza. – I deeply believe that the plans will be realized, because there is no modern Poland without innovative industry – this is how the head of the government summed up the visit to Dąbrowa Górnicza.
