Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG, joint stock company seated in Essen, Germany, establish close cooperation. On 12 December in Katowice they signed a memorandum of agreement on establishing a strategic alliance. For JSW this is the start of a road towards a safe future through access to latest technologies.

Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG is a leader in the market of steel and coking technologies. That is why JSW has decided to embark on cooperation with the German partner who guarantees delivery of technological solutions for coking plants and provides engineering, procurement, construction and related services for coking plants. The alliance is about improvement of environmental standards, optimization of costs and increase of production performance. Thanks to the agreement signed on 12 December JSW will be the first to have access to the latest technological solutions offered by TK. This is even more important given that in recent years the German company conducted works on optimization of coke oven gas purification to improve cogeneration of pure components, such as hydrogen, aromatic hydrocarbons and sulfur derivatives. JSW, in turn, is carrying out investments projects associated with coke oven batteries in its plants and is looking for state-of-the-art solutions. The agreement will make it possible to implement pioneer technological solutions which will set new standards in the coking plants from the JSW Group.

On the part of JSW the agreement was signed by President of the Management Board Daniel Ozon and Tomasz Śledź – Vice-President of the Management Board for Technical Matters. TK was represented by Uwe Boltersdorf, Director General of the Industrial Solutions Business Unit and Frank Redemann, Coking Plant Technological Solutions Sales Director.
