In the evening on May 9th, there were 71 confirmed infection cases at JSW. 66 of those cases were in the Pniówek Mine, 3 cases were confirmed in the Jastrzębie-Bzie mine and 2 in Zofiówka. 278 JSW employees were in quarantine.

- I would like to thank everyone who has come to be tested so far. Discipline, very good organization and responsibility – this is how we can describe the miners from Pniówek. Dear miners! Thank you for your amazing response to the appeals from the mine management and the JSW Crisis Management Team – said Artur Dyczko, who headed that team. - We are all with Pniówek. Pniówek is us – emphasized Vice-President Dyczko.

The plea to stay at home and limit contacts with other people is maintained. - For the people who have already been tested, this is a recommendation; health of many people depends on compliance with this recommendation – Vice-President Dyczko said.

The slogan “Stay at home after work” remains in effect for JSW employees.

The number of people diagnosed with a coronavirus infection in Silesia has been on the rise. JSW has been doing everything in its power, in cooperation with the Ministry of State Assets, the voivode and the sanitary services, to reduce the risk of infection.
