Meeting in Krosno completed the second edition of meetings dedicated to investing in the stock market organized by the State Treasury, together with a large group of partners. 3 074 stock investors attended the workshops in less than four months. Stock market experts visited 33 cities throughout the country. Particularly popular were meetings in Cracow (250 participants), Krosno (170) and Warsaw (165).
During the meetings there was a chance to talk, amongst others, with experts from the Financial Supervision Commission and from the Individual Investors Association
The meetings were an opportunity to talk with professionals from brokerage houses, the Financial Supervision Commission and the Association of Individual Investors.
The free workshops are aimed at persons taking their first steps on the stock market along with experienced investors.
Workshop participants were gradually introduced to the world of stock exchange and investment, were tought about the organization of the Polish capital market, the types of financial instruments and basic investment strategies and learned how to behave when the stock market declines. They were also given practical tips about investing and instructions how to exercise their rights as a shareholder of a listed company.
The series of meetings dedicated to stock investing was organized within educational program “Civil Shareholding Invest Advisedly”, initiated by State Treasury and supported by 33 partners:
