Best Annual Report

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa received the second main prize in "The Best Annual Report" competition in the "Enterprises" category. This is a competition for the best annual report in terms of value for shareholders and investors organized by the Institute of Accountancy and Taxes.

The “Best Annual Report” competition is a non-commercial project serving the environment and shaping good practices in financial reporting of public companies, which increases the safety of the capital market in Poland. The competition has a long tradition, as this year was its 16th edition.

Traditionally, the competition jury evaluated the companies' reports on their activities, application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/IAS), i.e. consolidated financial statements from the reports sent to the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and integrated reports. Grand prize winners are selected in two categories: "Enterprises" and "Banks and Financial Institutions".

The results of the competition were presented on 14 October during the Final Gala at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. According to the decision of the Chapter, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa won the second main prize in the "Enterprises" category, behind only PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA, while the third place went to Grupa Lotos SA. – I am glad that our efforts and high reporting standards have been noticed and appreciated. This year's results of "The Best Annual Report" competition show the commitment of the employees of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa in the preparation of a transparent report, so I thank them for their involvement on my behalf and on behalf of the Management Board – says Robert Ostrowski, Vice-President of the JSW S.A. Management Board for Financial Matters.

It is worth noting that this is not the first award for reporting in "The Best Annual Report" competition won by JSW SA. In recent years, the company has been recognized in the main competition (2013 second place, 2014 third place and in 2017 third place) and with distinctions (2013 and 2016 for the best activity report, 2018 for the consistently high quality of the activity report and in 2019 for the integrated report).
