We know the winners of the final of the OSH competition

Today at KWK Pniówek, as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of this mine, the grand finale of the 12th edition of the Competition on knowledge of OHS rules and regulations for the Cup of the President of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. was held. The winner was Jarosław Gąska from the Zofiówka Section, winning the main prize in the amount of PLN 10 thousand, while the KWK Borynia-Zofiówka-Bzie Zofiówka Section team proved to be the best in the team classification.

Twenty-one employees working at JSW's mines took part in the competition, including two employees selected in the competitions held at each mine and one employee selected in the 11th edition of the Internet competition of OHS knowledge

In the first stage, participants had to answer 30 closed-ended multiple-choice questions. After an extremely exciting battle, 4 contestants with the highest number of points qualified for the second stage. The second stage took place in the form of a virtual competition lasting 10 minutes. While moving along a marked route covering selected places and facilities of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, the participants had to provide answers to 30 multiple-choice questions. This form of competition was inspired by the popular Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa Mines 360⁰ app.

The winner of the 12th edition of the competition was Jaroslaw Gąska from the Borynia-Zofiówka-Bzie mine, Zofiówka Section, who also achieved the best score in the first stage. Second place went to Krystian Salamon also from the Zofiówka Section, and third place went to Rafał Gembalczyk from the Borynia Section. In the team classification, the victory went to the team of the Borynia-Zofiówka-Bzie mine, Zofiówka Section, represented by Jarosław Gąska, Krystian Salamon and Marcin Spała.

The winners received their awards from Artur Wojtków, Vice-Presidents of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy, Alicja Stefaniak, director of the Working Conditions and Training Department of the State Mining Authority, and Jacek Walaszczyk, director of the Regional Mining Authority in Rybnik.

During the event, the winners of the 11th edition of the Internet competition of OHS knowledge were also recognized. The winners were: Krystian Salamon from the Borynia-Zofiówka-Bzie mine, Zofiówka Section - 1st place, Rafał Nowak from KWK Pniówek - 2nd place and Rafał Chmiel from KWK Pniówek - 3rd place.
