Body of the Report:
The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. [“Company”, “JSW”] hereby reports that today the Company’s Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting [“ESM”] adopted a resolution to appoint on 4 April 2024 Mr. Paweł Bieszczad (elected by JSW’s employees) to the Company’s Supervisory Board in the 11th term of office.
At the same time, the Company hereby provides information about the education, qualifications and previous positions, together with a description of the career of the newly appointed Supervisory Board member.
Mr. Paweł Bieszczad is a graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. In 2004, he obtained the degree of mining engineer majoring in Automation and Robotics. He also completed post-graduate studies “Master of Business Administration” organized by the WSB Academy from Dąbrowa Górnicza, Branch Faculty in Cieszyn.
Mr. Paweł Bieszczad has been professionally associated with JSW since the beginning of his career. Since 2005, he has gained experience in KWK Pniówek, initially working as an intern, then supervisor and shift foreman in the ICT Unit and also dispatcher in the Power Engineering Department.
Currently employed in the position of senior foreman for ICT and automation equipment. Mr. Paweł Bieszczad completed numerous specialist courses and continuing education and, among others, passed an exam for candidates for supervisory board members in State Treasury companies.
Mr. Paweł Bieszczad served as a workforce representative on the JSW Supervisory Board of the 10th term of office from 2018 to 2020.
According to his declarations, Mr. Paweł Bieszczad does not conduct activity competitive to that of the Company, nor is he involved in any competing company as a partner in a civil law company or partnership or as a member of a corporate body of a capital company, or participate in another competing legal person as a member of its corporate body. In addition, he is not entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the provisions of the National Court Register Act and in the National Register of Indebted Persons kept pursuant to the Act of 6 December 2018 on the National Register of Indebted Persons.
