Body of the Report:

In connection with signing of the act of 16 August 2023 on amendments to the act on special solutions for the protection of electricity consumers in 2023 in connection with the situation on the electricity market and amendments to certain other acts (“Act”) by the President of the Republic of Poland on 21 August 2023, the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (“Company”, “JSW”), having made the necessary analyses, estimates that the entry of the Act into force will result in a liability to be paid by the Company in the form of the solidarity contribution in the amount of PLN 1.6 billion. The solidarity contribution transferred to the relevant account will constitute JSW’s deductible expense within the meaning of the Corporate Income Tax Act of 15 February 1992.The Act in question will enter into force 14 days after its publication in the Journal of Laws.
