The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (“Company”, “JSW S.A.”) hereby reports that on 3 September 2015, the Company’s Supervisory Board adopted a resolution to appoint Mr. Aleksander Wardas as of 4 September 2015 to the position of Vice-President for Production of the JSW S.A. Management Board of the 8th term. Mr. Aleksander Wardas does not conduct activity competitive to that of the Company, nor is he involved in any competitive company as a partner in a civil law company or partnership or as a member of a corporate body of a capital company, nor does he participate in another competitive legal person as a member of its corporate body. Moreover, he is not entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the provisions of the National Court Register Act.
In 1987, Mr. Aleksander Wardas graduated from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice with a master’s degree in mining engineering. In 1997, he completed a post-graduate course of study at the same university specializing in “Managing Mining Businesses”.
From the outset of his career he has been active in the mining industry. From 1987 to 2002 he was employed at KWK “Chwałowice” where he consecutively held jobs starting from intern to the chief mining engineer - head of the mining department. Subsequently, he was employed at KWK “Jankowice” where from 13 May 2002 to 31 January 2007 he served as the Head Engineer, Deputy Manager of a Section of the Mine (“KRZG”), while from 1 February 2007 to 3 November 2010 he served as the Production Director - KRZG. From 4 November 2010 to 31 December 2011 he served as the Production Director KRZG at KWK Knurów-Szczygłowice, and subsequently he served as the Director of this mine - KRZG.
