The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (“Company”, “JSW S.A.”) hereby reports that on 3 September 2015, the Company’s Supervisory Board adopted a resolution to appoint Mr. Tomasz Gawlik as of 4 September 2015 to the position of Vice-President for Strategy of the JSW S.A. Management Board of the 8th term. Mr. Tomasz Gawlik does not conduct activity competitive to that of the Company, nor is he involved in any competitive company as a partner in a civil law company or partnership or as a member of a corporate body of a capital company, nor does he participate in another competitive legal person as a member of its corporate body. Moreover, he is not entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the provisions of the National Court Register Act.
Mr. Tomasz Gawlik is a graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice from the faculty of Urban and Regional Management. At this same university he also completed a post-graduate course of study in taxes in the field of finance and tax accounting. He has worked in the JSW Group since 1989. Initially, he worked in the Jas-Mos mine and from 2005 he worked in the Management Board Office of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa in the Public Procurement and Contracts Section. From 2008 he served as the Deputy Director of the Ownership Oversight Department and from 2010 he served as the Director of the Strategy Development Department. From 2013 he served as the CEO of Spółka Energetyczna “Jastrzębie” S.A. He also has experience in devising and overseeing long-term strategic plans, running restructuring processes and implementing projects to optimize processes in businesses.
The Company also reports that in connection with appointing Mr. Tomasz Gawlik to the position of Vice-President of the Management Board for Strategy, the term of seconding Mr. Józef Myrczek, the JSW Supervisory Board Chairman to the Company’s Management Board has come to an end today.
