Body of the report:
As a supplement to Current Report No. 55/2019 of 11 September 2019, the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (“Company”) hereby conveys information about the education, qualifications and previous positions, together with a description of Ms. Izabela Jonek-Kowalska’s career who has been appointed to be a member of the Company’s Supervisory Board of the 10th term of office.
Izabela Jonek-Kowalska, PhD hab., Professor at the Silesian University of Technology. She graduated from the University of Economics in Katowice (faculty of finance and investments). She obtained her PhD degree in economic sciences in the area of management science from the Silesian University of Technology’s Faculty of Organization and Management, and her postdoctoral degree (habilitation) from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków in the area of technical sciences (mining and engineering geology, specializing in mining economics). Currently she is employed on the position of associate professor at the Silesian University of Technology’s Faculty of Organization and Management, where she is also the Director of the Economics and IT Institute, and a Deputy Dean for Science.
For more than ten years she has been dealing with mining economics, executing projects and expert studies in cooperation with, among others: Kopex SA, OT Logistics SA, DB Schenker Poland, TAURON Wydobycie SA, Energa SA, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa SA, Energokrak Sp. z o.o. (currently EDF Paliwa), Polska Technika Górnicza SA, former Kompania Węglowa SA and Katowicki Holding Węglowy SA, as well as Deloitte Polska and Pricewaterhouse Cooper Polska. She is the author of over 250 works on management and mining economics published in Polish and international scientific periodicals.
At the same time, the Company reports that in accordance with the submitted representation, Ms. Izabela Jonek-Kowalska is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the National Court Register Act, is not involved in any activities competing with the Company’s business and is not a partner in any civil law company or partnership, nor is she a member of any corporate body of a capital company, nor is she a member of any corporate body of any competitive legal persons.
