Information on the effects of implementing optimization initiatives, including JSW S.A.'s Strategic Transformation Plan

Body of the report:

The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. ["Issuer", "Company"] hereby reports that on 7 March 2025 it was informed about the measurable effects of implementing optimization initiatives and the Strategic Transformation Plan of JSW S.A. and its subsidiaries, which the Issuer reported in Current Report No. 62/2024 of 25 November 2024.

The total results of the aforementioned initiatives achieved by the end of February 2025 are as follows:

  • the capital expenditure plan for 2025 has been reduced by PLN 1.2 billion, compared to the values planned in mid-2024,

  • approx. PLN 80 million savings have been achieved in the area of procurement in H2 2024,

  • approx. PLN 152 million savings have been achieved in the area of procurement in January-February 2025 from the amount of PLN 360 million assumed for 2025 according to the Strategic Transformation Plan.

In addition, the Company reports that a number of initiatives have been launched to improve the utilization of longwall shearers and bring about an increase in coking coal mining volumes.

All activities in four key areas, i.e. improving mining efficiency, optimizing procurement processes, rationalizing capital expenditures and optimizing support functions, are estimated to bring the Company PLN 8.5 billion in positive financial impact by the end of 2027.

The Issuer will report further significant effects of the implementation of optimization initiatives and the Strategic Transformation Plan of JSW S.A. and its subsidiaries in relevant current reports.
