Body of the report:

The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. [“Company”], in reference to current report No. 19/2023 regarding the introduction of the public benefit payment [solidarity contribution], informs about the decision to submit a request for the refund of the solidarity contribution paid in 2023 and supplemented in 2024 to the account of the state special purpose fund – the Price Difference Payment Fund.

The amount for which the Company will request a refund is PLN 1.6 billion.

The Company will inform about the subsequent significant steps in this matter through relevant current reports.

Legal basis: Article 17[1] of Regulation [EU] No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on Market Abuse and Repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC.
