Body of the report:
The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. ["JSW", "Company"] with reference to Current Report No. 38/2024, hereby reports that it has revised the basic operating assumptions for 2024, positively assessed by the Company's Supervisory Board on 17 July 2024. Due to the above, the JSW Management Board announces the operating target for coal production in 2024, which was set at 13,07 million tons.
The revised coal production assumptions take into account recent events related to the declaration of force majeure and production difficulties at Pniówek and Budryk coal mines, as well as the current analysis of production capacities at the Bzie Section resulting from the geological conditions identified as a result of conducted mining works.
In addition, the operating target for coal production in 2024 takes into account the reconstruction of mining fronts carried out. Two new longwalls were commissioned in the second half of May, while four new longwalls were commissioned in June this year. Currently, JSW mines operate 23 longwalls.
