The second day of the conference was devoted to modern longwall and mining systems and new solutions in hydraulic systems. The conference allows for exchange of experience by the representatives of science and mining practitioners. It brings great educational and development value which is hard to overestimate.

– In the papers presented so far speakers talked about the achievements and exciting scientific and engineering solutions in global mining which may pave the way for further ideas. In addition, the cooperation with the conference partner, National Hydraulics and Pneumatics Research Institute in Bucharest, brought a broader and more practical dimension to this exchange of experience - assessed Aldona Urbanek from JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo.

Specialists not only from Bucharest but also from Polish universities and scientific institutes, as well as from technical departments of companies implementing state-of-the-art systems, presented 20 papers today. The speakers paid special attention to topics associated with development and investments increasing employee safety.

– The conference is an important event for our company which, in line with the adopted Development Strategy, seeks and implements innovative resolutions contributing to improvement of efficiency and safety of our mining operations - says Waldemar Stachura, Director of the Strategy and Process Optimization Department in Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa. – The conference is also a great opportunity for exchange of experience in innovative solutions, especially for the young engineers. It is also an opportunity for discussion and implementation of the best global solutions in JSW’s mines - emphasizes Mr. Stachura.
