We do believe that the trade unionists will show their responsibility for the Company’s matters as well as workplaces’ future. The Management Board stresses its openness when it comes to pay rise suggested by some trade unionists, however adds that this must go along with work results. We do hope labor unions understand what is dialogue all about - not about concessions from one side of the discussion only. In the situation of fierce competition from the side of foreign coal producers and deepening economic gloom in the world, the Management’s actions guarantee the workplaces and social security. We comprehend that in terms of common Company’s responsibility good solutions for all will be worked out. The Management Board believes in strikers’ responsibility and hopes the Friday’s protest will not damage further dialogue. It is worth mentioning that almost 40% of workers have not participated in the strike and have not shown their interest in the protest. For this reason the Management Board must take responsibility for all its employees, for those who want to do their job uneventfully and also working in mining affiliated businesses.
