The project of Spółka Energetyczna Jastrzębie, submitted within the framework of the competition organised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy earned 89 points ex aequo and thus won the fourth place on the ranking list.
"This is very good news for our employees. We believe that this day nursery will enable our employees to combine household and work duties more efficiently," says Mariusz Nonna-Bachoń, Vice-President of SEJ. "Although in our country the tradition of running such day nurseries is not very rich, yet it is not entirely new. Initiatives of this type have become increasingly popular and they give satisfaction to both employers and employees with children. We have decided to take this opportunity,” adds the Vice-President of SEJ.
As many as 154 applications to the total amount of nearly PLN 83 million were submitted to the competition of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy entitled: “Projects for the promotion of equal opportunities of men and women and combining professional and family life”. Only 51 of them passed the substantive assessment.
There is “only” PLN 15 million to be allocated, of which PLN 2.2 million should be granted to SEJ for the implementation of its project.
To remind: Spółka Energetyczna Jastrzębie (the JSW Group) intends to open a Company’s day nursery for the SEJ, PEC and SEJ-SERWIS employees' children. The day nursery will have a capacity for 50 children of 3 to 6 years of age. It will operate on a two-shift basis between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. The number of available places, types of classroom activities and opening hours have been specified by the employees themselves on the basis of a specially-designed survey.
