Currently, 46 headings are being drilled in the JSW mines. The bonuses paid as a reward for exceeding the plans in March went to the employees working in as many as 34 of these headings.
As far as walls are concerned, the situation is even better. Out of 25 walls being explored at JSW, as many as 23 exceeded the plans, and the miners working along these walls were also granted incentive bonuses.
The Management Board proposed introducing a task-based bonus for all employees starting as of April this year.
Let us remind you that in the first quarter of 2012 the amount of coal produced in the JSW mines exceeded the plan by about 240,000 tonnes. During this period, also more roadways were driven than it was assumed in the technical plan. The plan of works was exceeded by 1,694 running metres, which is a proof of the Company’s preparations for increased extraction plans for the upcoming year. By 2015, JSW intends to reach an annual extraction level of 14 million tonnes.
