Each year, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa rewards three best students from trade and technical schools with which it works based on a cooperation agreement. They receive cash prizes of PLN 1,500, PLN 1,000 and PLN 800, as a way of honoring exceptional educational achievements and motivating them to continue their studies.

- I’m proud of your achievements, I sincerely congratulate you, because it is your great success. You have shown that learning is important to you, and I assure you that this will bear fruit in the future, whatever path you choose. I congratulate the teachers on having such talented students and wish them much success - said Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy.

JSW, the only producer of coking coal in the European Union, has been actively supporting students of trade and technical schools for several years, offering them assistance in education and gaining practical work experience.

- We support young people by creating the right conditions for them to choose a profession. We motivate effective learning because we believe it will benefit the students and the mining industry - Vice-President Artur Wojtków concluded.
