Great picnic, great fun

This was one of the biggest events in the history of Jastrzębie-Zdrój. At the Great Picnic on the occasion of JSW's 30th anniversary, thousands of people enjoyed the music of Poland's best-known and best-loved artists, including Mrozu, LemON, IRA and Polish rock legends Grzegorz Markowski and Krzysztof Cugowski.

Last Saturday, 3 June, the municipal stadium in Jastrzębie-Zdrój turned into one of the largest music arenas in our country; literally, because only the largest music events can boast a stage 3 stories high and 40 meters wide. The line-up was equally impressive. It was a real star-studded collection of Polish music, consisting of artists of exceptional stature, selected in such a way that everyone in the audience could find his or her favorite musical style and atmosphere. The June weather was perfect, so good fun was guaranteed.

- It is a great joy for me to be here with you and see the smile on your faces. Because that means that our anniversary picnic was an excellent idea. We managed to reach everyone, so many people gathered today. Thank you for celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa with us - said Tomasz Cudny, President of the JSW Management Board, welcoming the picnic audience from the stage.

The concert on the occasion of JSW's 30th anniversary began with one of the most talented singers and songwriters of the younger generation, Wojciech Baranowski, performing under the stage name BARANOVSKI. Great musical emotions also accompanied the concert of excellent, as always, Ania Dabrowska and sensational Patrycja Markowska, who did not spare words of appreciation for the audience and organizers. - We can't always perform on such an 'exquisite stage' and we don't always have the chance to play for such a smart audience that loves music - the Polish rock star stressed.

Also Grzegorz Markowski showed that for a true artist age does not matter and good music never gets old. That evening, fans of the classic edition of rock could not complain about a lack of attractions, as Krzysztof Cugowski and the Band of Champions proved their excellent musical form. IRA and the always reliable LemON also played a great show. The musical part of the picnic ended with Mrozu. The whole event was hosted by the duo of TV personalities Paulina Sykut-Jeżyna and Jerzy Mielewski. - It is an extraordinary feeling when we are carried on stage by the energy of this friendly, lively audience - noted the well-known presenter.

The picnic was also family-oriented, so the little ones could pick and choose from the attractions prepared for them in the ravine right next to the stadium. There were bouncy castles, palaces, ships, contests, ice cream, balloons and other attractions that children can't imagine having fun without. Fans of outdoor cuisine could enjoy great food offered by food trucks.

The scenario of the picnic was prepared in such a way that the event was not limited to just having fun. Between performances on the stage films were shown, presenting not only the history, but also the contemporary face of the JSW Group, Europe's largest coking coal producer. A company that cares about the social environment, supporting local communities through the JSW Foundation. A company that invests in the development of education and sports in its professional, as well as in its amateur and youth varieties.

For this reason, nearly forty JKH GKS Jastrzębie ice hockey players of several generations appeared on stage to personally thank for the support and assistance they received, as did the players of the Jastrzębski Węgiel Talent Academy.

The picnic on the occasion of JSW's 30th anniversary is now history, but the wonderful audience and extraordinary artists managed to write one of the most beautiful pages in it.
