JSW Group Project Management Academy

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa in line with global trends has decided to launch a Project Management Academy in the JSW Group. It is an important stage in the transformation of the JSW Group into a project-based organization.

The JSW Project Management Academy is to be used to expand knowledge, develop competence and exchange good practices. It will also organize the principles to be used to carry out projects and capital expenditures in the JSW Group. The first training in the Academy has already started. They focused on discussing the JSW Group’s updated Program and Project Management Methodology (Metodyka Zarządzania Programami i Projektami)

- We have been implementing project management in all the plants and companies of the JSW Group. It is a very useful tool that has already improved our work organization, because it clearly shows, what projects we are implementing and at which stage they are, which gives us full control over the progress of work – explains Daniel Ozon, President of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, who is a strong supporter of the idea.


The Project Management Academy is a project, which will encompass a broad group of JSW Group’s employees.

  • Group 1 – JSW Group management boards, mine directors, Management Board Office directors
  • Group 2 – project managers, plant project management coordinators
  • Group 3 – project team members.

It is worth noting that Program and Project Management Methodology in the JSW Group is applied to 45 projects worth in aggregate PLN 2.5 billion.
