JZR manufactures the first conveyor

Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe, a JSW Group company, presented the first bottom scraper conveyor produced with its own resources and according to its own design. This way JZR joined the narrow group of leading manufacturers of mining machinery and equipment. It’s a great step towards development, especially because so far JZR dealt only with overhaul and modernization of mining equipment.

 – It’s a great day for us. After nine months of hard work and commitment of many people: constructors, technologists and production employees, we can present our creation – said Rafał Rychter, President of the Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe Management Board.

The PPJZR–850 bottom scraper conveyor was officially presented in the Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe production hall. The presentation was attended by the management board and directors of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa mines.

I’m very happy and I wholeheartedly congratulate everyone on the completion of this project – said Tomasz Śledź, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for technical matters. – This is only the beginning of the process of unification of longwall systems we intend to carry out in all our mines – added Tomasz Śledź.

The bottom scraper conveyor makes it possible to collect the transported winnings from the armored face conveyor and transport it to another collecting device, e.g. a belt conveyor.

Next week, the first conveyor will be delivered to KWK Borynia-Zofiówka-Jastrzębie, to the Borynia Section, to be more precise. The PPJZR–850 scraper conveyor comprises: KUJZR–4z coal crusher, UPJZR–KP1200 pushing device and the PTJZR–SZL1 line turning station. All this equipment has been designed and manufactured entirely in Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe, using top quality materials with much higher durability than the existing materials used in mining. A number of innovative solutions were used in this equipment. They will improve the reliability and the safety conditions of the employees during the mining.

The conveyor, an ultra-modern technical solution designed and produced by our own engineers, is the outcome of the consistent implementation of JSW Group’s strategy, according to which JZR’s investments are expected to secure the whole group from monopolization of the mining machinery production market – Artur Dyczko, JSW vice-president for strategy and development.

Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe is already working on unification of further coal haulage devices, including PSJZR armored face conveyors, KSJZR longwall crushers, UPJZR–SNZ belt tail pieces and PTJZR belt conveyors. It should be noted that in parallel with these efforts, an investment project is carried out in the Suszec municipality, where already next year Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe plans to launch the production of new elements for the machinery and equipment.
