Eight years of solid cooperation
Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy, Damian Mrowiec, Rybnik County Governor, and Marek Profaska, Rybnik County Deputy Governor, signed an agreement on students' education. The agreement was concluded at the School Complex in Czerwionka-Leszczyny.
“We are opening up prospects for young people to learn new skills and obtain practical vocational training. Thanks to this cooperation, we provide young people with solid preparation for work in the mining industry," says Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy.
The Czerwionka-Leszczyny School Complex provides education in the following fields: electrical technician specializing in mining equipment and installations and underground mining technician. In the first level vocational school students learn the following professions: electrician specializing in mining equipment and installations and underground miner.
“In the coming school year, we will be opening a 30-student electrician class at the first-level vocational school and an electrical technician group. We see great interest in this field of study, students achieve excellent results in external exams, exceeding the average pass rate at the national level," says Natalia Kuś, principal of the Czerwionka-Leszczyny School Complex, and adds: “Our students are provided with good learning conditions at the beginning of their education, partly thanks to our cooperation with Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, scholarships awarded to motivate students to work hard and good attendance at school.
Under the agreement, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa will provide students with the opportunity to undergo vocational training. This is an opportunity for young people to receive good professional training and gain experience in the difficult mining work.
