Statement of the Management Board of JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo

In connection with the ongoing picket of the ZZ "Sierpień 80" trade union in front of the headquarters of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, the Management Board of JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo explains that all allegations about the Company are untrue and lying.

The main allegation repeated by representatives of the ZZ "Sierpień 80" is criticism of the process of allocating JSW SiG employees to work in JSW S.A. mines. We would like to remind you that on 30 May 2023, the JSW SiG Management Board responded in writing to the ZZ "Sierpień 80" to the allegations presumptions regarding the rules of employee allocation.

First, the process of voluntary transition of a JSW SiG Sp. z o.o. employee to work at JSW S.A. units is carried out on the basis of a well-known agreement, concluded on 11 May 2017 between JSW S.A. and JSW SiG.

According to the agreement, JSW SiG does not block the possibility of termination of employment contracts for employees interested in transferring to JSW S.A. and does not affect employees' autonomous decisions in this area. In addition, according to the agreement, it is the future employer who annually (regularly since 2017) determines the number of people, with specific qualifications, who will be employed in JSW S.A.'s mines according to current needs. Since the beginning of the allocation until today, 5,530 JSW SiG employees have moved or will move to work in JSW S.A. mines in the coming days.

The Management Board of JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo considers the allegations of the ZZ "Sierpień 80" regarding the unclear allocation process as deliberate misleading of employees and the public, for the sake of its unspecified private interests.

It was with disbelief and embarrassment that we listened to the arguments of the ZZ "Sierpień 80" regarding slave labor in JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo.

From 2017, 6,717 people employed by JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo have opted for the "slave labor conditions." More than 20,000 people are applying to the SIG's electronic job applicant registration system.

JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo is a forge of human resources for Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, and therefore the Management Board of JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo unequivocally rejects all slanders and notes that their further repetition will result in legal liability.
