|   Investors Relations - common

Minister of the Environment has given JSW SA the license to extract coal and methane as the accompanying mineral by Krupinski mine until 31 December 2030.

The concession  covers the mining area "Suszec IV" with  of 33.8 km2 mainly located in the municipality of Suszec and partly in the cities Orzesze and Żory. Thus, the license granted to the mine in 1994 for the extraction of coal by the end of 2015 has expired. The surface of current mining area was 27.6 km2. The new license was applied for not only because of the expiring term of its validity, but also because of the evidence of new coal reserves in the deposit, extending the mining area of land located north and east of the current mining area and changing the depth documentation of the deposit from 1020 to 1 220 meters, which will enable it to continue mining operations over the next several years. Size of operational reserves (possible to extract) within the  concession area is estimated at 48.8 million tons. To the depth of 1220 m in the limits of the deposit  72 coal seams have been documented.

Terms of exploitation and economic use of the environment have been specified in the environmental decision. It indicates that the mine will be conducting operations based on the existing infrastructure of the mine and does not intend construction of new facilities. Within the mining area  up to third category mining damage may occur, and mine will strive to reduce the impact of mining activity on the surface.

- Mining operations in the expanded part of the mining area has already started, as a continuation of earlier work carried out related to the recognition of the deposit - says Marian Kurpas, director of Krupiński mine.

"Krupinski" mine has been extracting  the coal since 1983. Daily production is about 8.5 thousand. tons of coal. It produces coals used for both power and coke. It employs over 2 700 people.
