We focus on education. JSW gives students guaranteed employment

For six years now, school leavers with mining-related majors from the Vocational School Complex No. 2 in Knurów have been guaranteed jobs at Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa. “Collaboration with the Gliwice County Hall has a long-standing tradition. We especially appreciate its educational dimension, i.e. the commitment and professionalism of the county hall's authorities in developing vocational education related to mining. The agreements concluded allow JSW to attract well-prepared school leavers, whose education process is tailored to the needs of our mines,” said Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy.

According to the provisions of the agreement, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa undertakes to employ and organize apprenticeships for the Knurów school students who in September will begin studying at a first-level industry school to be electricians, machine and equipment installation specialists and steel fixers. The agreement also applies to future mechanical technicians and electricians.

“If you want to learn, learn from the best, that's why we value so much the educational cooperation with JSW in the field of practical vocational training. In addition, thanks to employment guarantees, the students can confidently build their future on the basis of a company with great development potential and even greater prospects,” stressed Włodzimierz Gwiżdż, Gliwice County Governor.
