“A Heart For A Heart” award for Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa has received an award for its contribution to cardiac surgery in Poland. With the “A Heart For A Heart” statuette, the Professor Zbigniew Religa Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development expressed its gratitude to JSW for the Company’s regular support of scientific and research work related to the development of modern technologies aimed at saving human lives vulnerable to heart failure.

This unique award was ceremoniously presented during the gala concert “A Heart For A Heart”, which the Foundation held on the last Friday of October at the House of Music and Dance in Zabrze. On behalf of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, the prestigious award was accepted by Jerzy Majchrzak, President of the JSW Foundation, who emphasized the significance of this prize for all JSW employees. 

For more than 30 years, with “A Heart For A Heart” concerts, the Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development recognizes donors for supporting the Foundation’s mission set up by its founder and patron, Professor Zbigniew Religa. The Foundation’s most generous patrons, strongly committed to the development of Polish cardiac surgery, are awarded these prestigious statuettes designed by Bronislaw Chromy, a renowned Kraków-based sculptor. This year, JSW joined the elite group of the Foundation’s awardees.
